Gopsall Fishing Club
About the Club
The club was formed in 1925 by a number of keen local anglers. These members fish some five kilometres of the River Sence and its tributaries. As keen anglers, members enjoy both fishing the river and caring for it.
The club has as its chief aim the improvement of the ecology of the river and its surroundings. To this effect the members meet together on a weekly basis for Working Parties where members carry out work on the river.
Through the year the river is stocked with brown trout and grayling. Regular checks are made and anglers regularly report their catches to enable the health of the river to be established.
